MBL Technologies is currently hiring for a Privacy Analyst to join our consulting team. The Privacy Analyst will provide consulting services supporting the client's security assessment process. The client is located in the Washington, D.C. Metro area. While the position is remote, it will require fours days a month of onsite work.
Job Duties:

  • Review privacy documents, such as Privacy Threshold Analysis (PTAs), Privacy Impact Analysis (PIAs), and System of Record Notices (SORNs)
  • Coordinate privacy activities with other stakeholders, such as Board Legal and information systems points of contact.
  • Create and/or update privacy policies and communicate updates to all stakeholders.
  • Assisted with privacy related training tasks.
  • Develop, review, and update Privacy Threshold Analysis (PTAs), Privacy Impact Analysis (PIAs), and System of Record Notices (SORNs).
  • Communicate privacy specific requirements to Board application developers and system owners, to ensure appropriate privacy protections are incorporated into systems developed by the Board.
  • Document system specific privacy controls within individual System Security and Privacy Plans (SSPPs) for Board information systems.
  • Analyze existing Board privacy program policies, procedures, practices, and artifacts to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor progress of completion for all privacy training courses and provide periodic updates to Board privacy officials.
  • Measure Board users' comprehension of the Board's privacy policies and best practices through online quizzes and/or other assessment methods.
  • Develop and deliver, as needed customized Board privacy training.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Three or more years of experience advising on privacy compliance related issues, including data privacy policies and procedures, data breach responses, and vendor management.
  • In depth knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, including experience implementing NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 privacy controls.
  • Experience writing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Systems of Records Notices (SORNS).
  • Experience identifying and managing sensitive data, including Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Experience communicating complex privacy and data protection information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • BA or BS degree
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
