Data Privacy Paralegal / Analyst

Enterprise Talent Solutions, a division of Consilio, LLC, is currently seeking contract Data Privacy Paralegal for a contract-to-hire assignment with an in-house legal department.

Pay is negotiable based on experience but will start around $35/hour.

A successful Privacy Analyst candidate will assist in the administration of our global compliance and privacy program. Under general direction of the Head of Privacy, the Privacy Analyst will help develop and implement necessary actions to ensure the achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance and privacy program, including the promotion of positive and ethical principles and conduct. This role requires a good communicator and technologist that loves privacy and solving complex problems with a large and diverse set of colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff across the organization and serve as a compliance and privacy advisor on the implementation of projects or initiatives
• Support data mapping and inventory initiatives across the organization, including Records of Processing Activities and Vendor Inventories
• Responds to requests from data subjects requesting access and/or amendment rights to their data
• Develop, review, and monitor implementation of corrective action plans to reduce risks; assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and areas at high risk of non-compliance
• Provide education and training, including the identification of areas of need, preparation of materials, and the implementation of awareness campaigns
• Implements new technologies, processes, and workflows to further goals of the privacy and compliance program

Basic Qualifications

• Familiar with GDPR, CCPA, and other domestic and international privacy regulations.
• Experience in a privacy, compliance, IT, or information security role.
• Significant experience in program management, including change management, project management, stakeholder management, user training, and communications.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement, problem solve, and make decisions in complex situations.
• Ability to quickly develop rapport with cross-functional leaders across the organization.
• Proven ability to take ownership, self-motivate, and deliver results in ambiguous environments.
• Experience working with large, enterprise-wide technology implementations that impact multiple lines of business.
• Strong understanding of modern data processing environments, service-oriented architectures, cloud computing technologies and relevant security and privacy standards.

Consilio offers non-attorney flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, the candidate’s general skill set, applicability of candidate skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
