About the Mission You Will Join:
Support the Headquarters Air Force element by developing and providing the foundation for a secure, digital Air & Space Force. Use a warfighter-informed, mission-focused approach to ensure priorities and investments drive value and improve overall user experience. Utilize agile processes that enable timely & productive collaboration and convey easily understandable results and automate outdated processes. Establish accountability mechanisms through effective oversight without partners, measuring what matters and ensuring delivery excellence. Additionally, effectively use governance mechanisms to ensure unity of effort amongst organizations as well as understand & enforce statutory CIO responsibilities and develop DAF-wide policies for accountability. This is accomplished by building and maintaining a high-performance IT team while continually adding relevant expertise to the organization.

Your Impact to the Mission:

  • Coordinate guidance, training and support to multiple field representatives across global Air Force to ensure information systems are compliant with the Privacy Act, Office of Management and Budget, Department of Defense, and Air Force requirements.
  • Perform quality review and track to completion Privacy Impact Assessments, System of Record Notices, Social Security Justification Memos and related documentation to include Plan of Action and Milestones for systems requiring resolution.
  • Monitor and update Privacy status for 2500 IT systems in the Air Force’s Information Technology Investment Portfolio Suite
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers on a bi-monthly basis to review trend analysis, identifying gaps and methods to improve performance.
  • Intake, process and report privacy breaches to the Defense Privacy, Civil Liberties and Transparency Division within prescribed timelines and track and monitor trends to improve guidance and internal procedures.
  • Compile and submit the Air Force Semi-annual Civil Liberties report to the Defense Privacy and Civil Liberties Office.
  • Conduct mandatory reviews of publications and forms for Privacy compliance in adherence to AF Guidelines

Experience Needed to Be Successful:

  • Experience with all phases of Privacy Impact Assessment
  • Experience with System of Records Notice (SORN) and process SORN Rescindment
  • Experience with tracking and reporting the progress of PIA, SORN, SSNJM, and Rescindment packages
  • Experience processing breaches and reviewing breach reports at Headquarters level
  • Experience with Compliance and Reporting Tool (CART)
  • Experience in research and document development/review/editing

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Experience working and interfacing regularly at the senior executive service level Headquarters
  • Experience with the Dod and US Air Force

Basic Qualifiers:

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree
  • Can Additional Years of Experience Substitute for Degree? Yes
  • Required Certification(s): None
  • Minimum Years of Overall Experience: 5
  • Minimum Years of Specific Experience in Field: 5
  • Minimum Clearance to Start: Active Secret
  • Work Status Allowable: US Citizen
