Westlake Management Services Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Principal - Technical, BI/BW. Worksite: 2700 Post Oak Blvd., Houston, Texas 77056. Must put job code (R23255) on resume and on cover.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a Full stack developer for SAP Data warehousing, Data integration and Data Analytics solutions.
• Work with Data warehousing solutions including SAP Business warehouse, HANA, Oracle, Microsoft SQL. Use Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) solutions - BW ETL, Business objects data services, SSIS.
• Utilize ABAP for transformations and routines, user exits, function modules.
• Write SQL stored procedures.
• Work with reporting tools SAP Business Explorer, Analysis for office, WEBI, Crystal reports, Power BI, Lumira discovery and Lumira designer.
• Write DAX formulas for complex Power BI Dashboards.
• Write CSS Scripts for Lumira dashboards.
• Production support for NetWeaver BPC objects, support data loads for smooth Month-end consolidations.
• Provide ongoing production maintenance, assistance and support for BW/BI and above technologies.
• Work with IS functional and technical analysts to investigate and resolve data discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve critical repetitive issues.
• Document root cause analysis for the same.
• Support BW refresh processes during downtime.
• Work with Offshore team, delegate work, review the same for adherence to standards, quality and consistency.
• Create end user - quick access guides, training documents and videos.
• Provide ongoing business user reporting training and support as needed.
• Work with Business stakeholders.
• Identify, plan and scope future BW projects.
• Create Statement of work and take it through Business and IT approvals.
• Run projects using both Waterfall and Agile Project methodologies.
• Work on BW/BI projects in collaboration with Business, IT/Basis, IS functional/technical/security analysts and external BW, consultants as assigned to the project. Use Project plans, Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions (RAID log).
• Facilitate and gather reporting requirements for assigned projects.
• Construct technical specification for a solution design which will meet or exceed the functional requirements.
• Write functional design document and detailed technical document.
• Experience in handling Object level and data security, working with security team to define and maintain BW, HANA and Business objects security.
• Work on SAP BW/BI development, supervise efforts by the development team.
• Form, document adhere to standards, policies, and development guidelines (eg. Naming conventions, transport methodologies, security etc.).
• Compose and maintain development best practices documentation and naming conventions.
• Develop and update end user training, videos and documentation related to Reporting.
• Host training sessions for end users for reporting on needed basis.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/MIS, Computer Science, Engineering
• 5 years' experience with SAP ERP, Business Warehouse and Intelligence solutions, working with SAP Business warehouse, HANA, SAP Business objects Data services, SSIS, Microsoft SQL, Power BI, Lumira discovery, Lumira designer, Business objects WEBI, Crystal reports, Analysis for office.
• Special Requirements: Telecommuting benefit - 2 days a week.
