Principal Solutions Engineer

About the Role
The Principal Solutions Engineer will be responsible for identifying and closing new account opportunities in addition to managing customer relationships. The Principal Solutions Engineer will serve as an evangelist to enhance customer awareness of ZT's core competencies and capabilities including global services, managed services, cloud, and data center services. With ZTs strategic direction driving their objectives, the Principal Solutions Engineer will develop customer and segment acquisition strategies to grow ZTs overall portfolio and bottom line. The Principal Solutions Engineer will also provide valuable insights and recommendations to support their client's strategic initiatives. The ultimate goal of the Principal Solutions Engineer is to establish a pipeline of prospects and convert healthy opportunities into long term strategic customer relationships.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, ecosystem partners, and others to understand roadmaps, offerings, technologies, incentives, and areas of joint opportunities
• Responsible for performing all aspects of Business Development
• Conduct client presentations, estimation efforts, proposals, and negotiations
• Responsible for driving revenues and go-to-market strategies identified as a good fit for their account portfolio
• Work closely with the Solutions Engineer to build customized solutions pitches for the target account
• Conduct industry research and competitor analysis
• Build and manage account plan for targeted accounts
• Build and manage a segment plan for designated technologies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep understanding of PCIe protocols
• Experience in PCIe compliance measurements using high-end equipment (e.g., Analyzer, Exerciser).
• Experience debugging Signal Integrity issues
• Experience in embedded C, C++, or Python code development
• Strong knowledge of data center technologies, future trends, and direction, including hyperscale industry competitors
• Strong industry and customer relationships. Able to impact pipeline from day one
• Knowledge of end to end managed Infrastructure Services go-to-market solutions a plus
• Experience with global delivery organizational selling and support processes a strong plus
• Hands-on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations
• Solid business, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Strong skills in hands-on execution and project management
• Must have a pragmatic, hands-on style, and the ability to think outside the box
• Strong planning and priority-setting abilities
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and influencing skills
• Experienced at managing and delivering on time with multiple concurrent priorities
• Must have the ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced, and demanding environment.

• Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism
• Proven ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with both internal partners and external clients

Education

• Bachelor's Degree - required; Engineering Degree preferred. MBA preferred

Experience

• 15+ years of relative experience in server or a relative industry

ZT Systems offers a highly competitive salary commensurate with work experience and/or education, an excellent benefits program that includes a 401(k) plan, health and dental insurance, and paid time off. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $141,000 and $235,000 per year.If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
