POSITION SUMMARY:

As a leader in the Digital team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a roadmap of end-to-end digital experiences across digital marketing, loyalty, web, mobile apps, fulfillment, and post purchase. Our team is dedicated to creating meaningful and long-lasting digital connections with our customers to deliver the Five Below experience whenever and wherever our customers demand it.

The Principal Product Management, Digital is a critical role where you will help shape and execute the vision behind Five Below’s e-commerce and omni channel experiences. You will champion the customer, identify opportunities, and action upon them to make a measurable impact on the business. The ideal candidate comes from a background of consumer facing digital products and possesses broad technical and business working knowledge across many domains such as UI/UX design, performance marketing, digital analytics, mobile apps, and eCommerce.

You will build strong working relationships and collaborate with other Product Managers as well as business leaders across the organization. You will be expected to be a thought leader that drives initiatives forward, solves problems and be a steward to effective value delivery. Additionally, product managers are accountable for real-time ‘high-touch’ business engagement for both strategic and tactical initiatives while ensuring our applications uptime and performance meets the operating need.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver against a roadmap of features and functionality to continually expand Five Below’s digital capabilities.
• Collaborate deeply with UI / UX designers from concept and ideation through detailed design to development ready specifications.
• Define, execute, analyze, and action on the results of A/B testing.
• Champion and practice Agile methodologies, principles, and best practices.
• Execute delivery through the Scrum framework; document requirements in the form of user stories; groom and manage backlog; prioritize and manage scope from sprint to sprint.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team to make appropriate tradeoffs between technical scope and business value.
• Build relationships with key business partners and stakeholders across the organization to drive alignment and strategic value.
• Lead demonstrations of the work product and clearly articulate the value and goals achieved.
• Proactively monitor for and triage day to day operational bugs, system outages and escalated customer feedback.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years’ work experience, with at least 6 years’ in Product Management or product ownership on consumer facing digital products. eCommerce or omnichannel retail experience a plus.
• Track record of successful development and delivery of roadmap from ideation through operation and optimization.
• Working knowledge of mobile app, website and digital marketing ecosystem technologies such as:
  • Modern web application frameworks (react, nodejs, rust, typescript, go, rust)
  • Content delivery networks (Fastly, Akamai, Cloudflare)
  • Tag management solutions (google tag manager, adobe experience platform)
  • Search engine platforms (elastic search, algolia)
  • Logging and Analytics Tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
  • Payment Solutions (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Worldpay)
  • Modern cloud compute architecture (amazon web services, microsoft azure)

• Experience working with hybrid onshore / offshore engineering development and devops teams.
• Excellent communication skills, effective translation and contextualization between business stakeholders and engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and analytical thinking, see all facets of a problem and know when to dive deep and when to lens out.
• Ability to evangelize product vision and strategy through clear high-level objectives and data driven analysis.
