Production & Shop Manager

Production Manger Requirements:

• Must have a good knowledge of the cabinet industry
• Organized with good problem-solving skills
• Good communicator
• Quality oriented

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the overall production of each department, working with key personnel to achieve the desired high-end quality product and production levels.

2. Each member of the shop personnel will report to this position, however, there will be a Finishing Dept. Supervisor, that will coordinate the daily job functions of the individuals within that dept.

3. Motivate and inspire the team of associates & review the work performance of subordinates.

4. Participate in the hiring/firing process.

5. Evaluate, train, and discipline all shop personnel.
6. Monitor the production practices and set the schedules as required to ensure maximum efficiency of effort and to meet production schedules.
7. Maintain work schedules and vacation time for associates.
8. Maintain quality standards.
9. Assist in production in ways to maximize the production of each department and associates.
10. Participate in purchasing and inventory control.
11. Participate in product development.
12. Refining of production efficiencies.
13. Manage machinery maintenance.
14. Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
15. Any other tasks required to maintain production schedules and efficiency.
16. Open and close the shop.

Hours are M-F 6:00a.m. – 3:30p.m., Friday 6:00a.m. – 10:00a.m.

Homestead is a small shop w/ 15-20 great individuals to work with.

This is a hands-on position. Manager will participate in the production process, as needed, to meet goals and maintain productivity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
