As a Product Architect within the Embedded Business Unit (EBU), you will be responsible for defining product specifications for next generation managed NAND devices.
The Embedded Business Unit is a market leader in providing storage solutions for the automotive, IMM and embedded consumer markets and as such you will have the opportunity to work closely with world leading OEMs, Tier1 suppliers and chipset vendors, defining next generation handled NAND devices such as eMMC and UFS!
You will work with application engineering, system engineering, and field teams, to identify novel and differentiating features, develop proposals and specifications to implement them in next generation products ensuring EBU's market leading position. You will be collecting product requirements coming from customers, competitive intelligence teams and internal engineering teams. You will be encouraged to identify and develop new innovative product features and develop patents to protect those.
As a Product Architect, you will be a crucial part of the EBU and greater Micron product development process, ensuring delivery of efficient, outstanding led NAND products. You will work in close cooperation with marketing and product line management teams to ensure that next-generation products will meet business goals!
Job Responsibilities:
- Collect, comprehend, and combine requirements coming from many sources into a single product requirement specification
- Own and be responsible for the delivery of NAND product specifications which drive outstanding targets while improving the business outcomes
- Identify new innovative product features for NAND devices
- Generate new intellectual property and patents in the areas of FW algorithms, NAND management, thermal management, etc.
- Develop strong expertise in both managed NAND Product Architectures and interface specifications
- Work with Micron JEDEC representatives to closely follow standardization activities for eMMC and UFS
- Identify key industry technical trends and competitive landscapes; Stay abreast of new sophisticated technology and architecture trends in the market
- Collaborate with application engineering teams to keep track of field issues observed with current products. Ensure closure of any gaps for future products through the specification process
- Work in close collaboration with development engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of the specified NAND devices
- Build certain customer facing functional safety collaterals.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$143,000.00 - $311,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
