Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary UX Architect to shape the future of HPE Aruba Networking's software portfolio. This portfolio includes the highly regarded Aruba Central cloud management platform, Aruba's cutting-edge security solutions, and innovative digital experience management platforms. In this key role, you will drive the evolution of user experiences, provide technical leadership to a group of UX Designers, and collaborate with a large organization to deliver innovative experiences.
As a UX Architect, you will partner with a diverse team of engineering professionals to deliver research, development, design, and implementation of all user experience aspects of our products, services, and solutions. Your main responsibility will be to collaborate closely with our UX Leader and fellow UX designers to create and execute a compelling UX vision and roadmap. You'll play a key role in making the vision a reality and set a positive tone for the rest of the team.
The ideal candidate we are seeking is an experienced UX professional who possesses the unique ability to transform a vision into tangible results. You thrive on solving complex challenges and are known for your teamwork and mentorship skills. Additionally, domain expertise in this field will be a valuable asset that helps us further elevate our products and services.
What you'll do:
The UX Architect orchestrates and executes against the strategy to create elegant, simple user experiences from underlying complex workflows that delight and empower our users. You will work in close collaboration with a team of designers fostering innovation and collaboration across multiple product and engineering teams. This role involves steward the user experience at every stage of the solution portfolio's lifecycle, which includes defining new products or improving existing ones, planning, designing, forecasting, managing production, and finally, addressing the end-of-lifecycle phase.

  • Set Cadence for UX Design: Consult on development of an end-to-end UX strategy for HPE Aruba Networking's suite of software products. Collaborate and provide a lead-by-example template for the UX design team.
  • Advance our UX Guiding Principles: Co-define and advance our UX guiding principles, ensuring they align with the value proposition and use cases to create innovative and compelling customer experiences. Work within the UX team to help standardize this.
  • Market Requirement Synthesis: Collaborate closely with product teams to synthesize UX market requirements from product specifications and portfolio vision, ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with diverse engineering teams and product management to translate customer requirements and architectural vision into actionable UX elements.
  • Product Portfolio Integration: Define the seamless integration of UX design into product portfolio lifecycles. Execute against plans for evolutionary, iterative updates that progressively realize the larger vision in a consistent manner.

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, UX, or related field of study. Advanced degrees in Computer Science or UX is a plus.
  • Typically, 15 or more years of UX field experience and hands on UX designer skillset at the senior UX designer level.
  • Expertise in both user research and interaction design to shape the direction of web and mobile experiences.
  • Proven ability to execute on a UX strategy that drives operational excellence.
  • Strong technology foundation, business acumen, and ability to understand market dynamics. Specifically, the ability to map these skills to the networking industry.
  • Demonstrated success in jointly executing with cross functional teams across engineering, product management, field, and marketing.
  • Pragmatic nature to ensure rapid development.
  • Knowledge of SaaS business and agile product development
  • Self-starter and self-driven. Needs to be able to be successful with low supervision.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $126,500.00 - $291,000.00
