Principal It Business System Analyst

The Principal IT Business System Analyst is responsible for providing application services and support to the global Tennant organization in the SAP Production Planning space. As a member of IT Team, in this role you’ll primarily support business areas such as Production Planning, Materials Management, Quality Management, and 3rd party solutions augmenting and expanding SAP capabilities. This role allows working with business users gathering requirements, defining solutions, testing, implementing, and supporting them along the way.  You will also be participating in the organizational transformation journey with S4 HANA Implementation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for gathering business requirements and documenting them into business requirement documents, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Responsible to create detailed specifications and process flows to provide direction to application developers
• Responsible for developing functional, integration, regression, and test plans
• Responsible for analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes and business requests, and recommend solutions using system standards and best practices
• Support, assist and train the users on new modified system configurations highlighting the impact on business processes
• Work closely with Managers, Executives, Onsite team and Offshore team to ensure the release of high-quality solutions
• Comply with regulatory and change control requirements and processes
• Maintain IT Business system integrity and application notes, system upgrades, changes, and user updates
• Demonstrate good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve system issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of SAP ERP Business Systems Analysis experience with a focus on SAP Production Planning, Materials and Quality Management
• Experience with SAP Engineering Change Control and Variant Configuration capabilities
• Strong cross-module functional knowledge between Logistics and Supply Chain
• Configure and maintain core Planning processes such as materials requirement planning (MRP) and hierarchical bill of materials (BOM)
• Exposure to external manufacturing support applications such as visual work instructions, asset labeling, etc.
• Exposure to S4 HANA will be an advantage
• Experience working with business end users, gathering requirements, and building detailed functional design specifications, testing & coordinating delivery of features and functionality
• Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Should contribute to team-building measures like Knowledge Management & Mentoring
• Excellent verbal/written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
• Capability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
• Ability to be organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to work with minimum supervision or guidance
