PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Principal Architect will partner with other senior technology leaders as well as partner across the organization to lead cross-functional teams to design and implement business technology solutions that meet the changing needs of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following and other duties as assigned:
Business Partnership
- Develop relationships with senior leadership team, business owners, product managers and project sponsors, as a trusted advisor.
- Understand business needs and corporate goals, and partner with business leaders to leverage digital products and technology solutions to create measurable business value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in decision-making processes and translate complex technology concepts into clear and understandable language for different audiences, including non-technical executives.
Technical Expertise
- Advise project sponsors and teams on solution architecture options, and ensure the security, functionality, scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance of technology solutions.
- Ensure solution options align with our technology philosophy and nurture an ecosystem with diverse external digital and technology vendors.
- Lead design specifications and prototyping efforts that ensure development consistency, production support and knowledge management.
- Facilitate the collaboration among infrastructure, development, operations, and security teams, with broad experiences in information technology (including networking, cybersecurity, computing, operating systems, data centers, IT services)

QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related fields. Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
- 15+ years of experience with most aspects of information technology, such as IT infrastructure, information security, API & application development, technical support, Azure cloud services, and business continuity planning.
- 10+ years of experience with Enterprise Architecture and/or technology leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at the senior leadership level across functional groups and business units.
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior level business and technology partners and experience in developing and implementing change initiatives with a solid track record for delivering results.
- Strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, as well as positive solution oriented and growth mindset, big picture view and pragmatic approach.
