We are seeking a part-time Principal Engineer, Environmental Scientist for our Oakland, CA operations.
Response, assessment and evaluation services (RAES) are parts of a larger program associated with abandoned mines. You will support the program in the following areas:
• Perform preliminary site assessments (PA), site inspections (SI), removal site evaluations (RSE) and expanded site inspections (ESI) on sites with radionuclide and non-radioactive hazardous substances.
• Learn and implement complex radiological monitoring techniques and site characterization studies.
• Execute assignments that have clear and specific objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
• Familiarity with the CERCLA PA/SI/RI/FS/RD/RA process in mining, oil and gas, or other industries.
• Experience working for USEPA.
• Experience with the Hazard Ranking System.
Degree / Certifications
• A minimum of a BS in engineering or environmental sciences from an accredited college or university is required.
The Salary Range for this position is $55.00/hour - $80.00/hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
