Job description

This position will be located at Forest Park Materials Distribution Center (MDC) and will assist in the management of Power Delivery inventory located at the warehouse. This position will work under the direction of the MDC Operations Manager. This position is responsible for developing and managing the approach for inventory management, warehousing, and reclamation associated with SCM operations. This position will partner with Power Delivery, Field Operations and Sourcing to develop and maintain a strategy that supports our customers and Supply Chain Management goals associated with inventory, planning, emergency material, and storm restoration. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley legislation, Safety, OSHA Laws, FERC, DOT, EPA, and company policies and procedures in SCM operations.

 

Job Requirements and Education

  • College degree a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Project management skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Identify, locate, and order stock and non-stock materials for each department by using the materials inventory system. (Maximo and Priya systems)
  • Generate documents associated with storeroom transactions and maintain files in accordance with guidelines
  • Training or experienced in accounting practices as they relate to warehouse operations
  • Some knowledge of inventory control processes for warehouse and field operations
  • Will be required to work storm restoration and serve on the MDC Emergency Call-Out team
  • Managing the accuracy and accountability of commodities in inventory
  • Assuring that all stock and non-stock materials are properly entered in the material inventory system
  • Responsible for performing analyst function for all material at specified location to include cycle counts, bin integrity and     monthly reporting
  • Building and maintaining excellent business relationships with Power Delivery, suppliers, and other key customers
  • Managing all Hazardous Materials within the warehouse to assure safety and regulatory compliance
  • Performing physical inventories of material located at the warehouse
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office computer products with a strong knowledge of excel
  • Some knowledge and experience with power delivery processes, materials, and equipment
