Principal Consultant, Media Supply Chain

About the Role:

As Principal Consultant, Media Supply Chain at Diversified, you will be a senior member of Diversified's consulting staff, which provides strategic and technological thought leadership to clients in the areas of Media Supply Chain, Live Production, Cloud Implementations and Facility Transformation. The consulting team engages with clients, both within and reporting to the C-level, in the initial stages of a project to guide them to a deep understanding of how business processes can be supported by state-of-the-art technology, and to assist them in formulating analyses, requirements specification, conceptual designs, and programming, as a preparatory step for implementation.

The consulting team is staffed with, among other roles, a Principal Consultant, Media Supply Chain who is the lead advisor for key, enterprise clients and strategic projects. The Principal Consultant, Media Supply Chain offers in-depth expertise, resources and guidance to help clients succeed and is responsible for the decisions and recommendations made and the production of all deliverables of analyses, reports, etc. to the client.

Primary Responsibilities of the Principal Consultant, Media Supply Chain:

• Work directly with clients to analyze and conceive business strategies and solution concepts, and ultimately make the key decisions on technology selections and strategy to advise clients on solutions and monetization of content across its lifecycle
• Understand the business direction of clients, create optimized Media Supply Chain architectures to meet their business needs, and build knowledge capital through research and development, leveraging industry insights to deliver best of breed solutions to clients
• Lead the consulting engagement team and oversee its daily operations during projects
• Work on several projects across multiple clients to immerse yourself in their business imperatives and processes, advise on business tactics, and provide vision and direction
• Ensure execution of the engagement deliverables, which will follow Diversified's highest standards for quality and presentation, including current state/gap analysis, recommendations for improvements/conceptual designs, presentations, white papers, and other engagement reports
• Provide subject matter expertise relevant to your area of specialization, including intimate knowledge of vendor product offerings, and a firm perspective on the competitive landscape
• Review and map digital solutions Media Supply Chain business processes, communicate effectively with technical team to speak on system and environment architecture, development, integrations, and overall client requirements
• Develop deep working relationships with senior executives and senior managers across the client account team, ensuring the ability to communicate findings
• Develop relationships throughout the customer's organization to identify new business opportunities by establishing trust and credibility through communication, relationship building and support of the account executive
• Participate during the sales process through scoping workshops, presentations, solutions, development of SOWs, and provide the bridge between sales and professional services as new opportunities are closed
• Lead the client discovery process while proactively detecting technical deficiencies and developing practical, workable solutions to problems
• Serve as an industry evangelist representing Diversified at global technology conferences, customer engagements and publications in both print and online
• Assist in the growth of Media Supply Chain architectures globally through thought leadership and entrepreneurialism

Required Qualifications of the Principal Consultant, Media Supply Chain:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant business or technology field of study, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience as a solutions architect/engineer or solution sales professional and trusted customer advisor
• Experience with technology and business operations and strategies relevant to the production, processing and distribution of audiovisual content, both live and file-based, for a variety of industries, including media, financial, retail, government, corporate enterprise, etc.
• Proficient with many of the following platforms: platforms for compute, storage, orchestration and media processing, including AWS, Azure, Google, SAN/NAS, Object Storage (cloud/remote/on-premises), transcoding (Vantage, Elemental), MAMs (Iconik, CatDV, Dalet Flex, Vidispine, Avid MediaCentral/Interplay), Editorial, (Avid, Adobe, Apple, DaVinci), Cloud/hybrid Workflow, Remote workflow (Teradici, BeBop, etc.) and Virtualization Platforms (VMWare ESXi), as well as other media-related systems and solutions
• Advanced and sophisticated written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with and establish trust towards C-level executives, end users, customers, vendors and manufacturers in a 1:1 and group setting
• Ability to listen, understand and convey highly complex information, and present in-depth technical solutions, related to RFQ technology, pricing, terms and more
• Ability to travel and work in a light industrial environment
