Prevention Specialist

Implements prevention services in assigned schools and communities throughout Allegheny County and creates evidence-based, evidence-informed, and supplemental programs allowed by the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP). Administers needs assessment activities, directs students and families to relevant services, coordinates counseling with outside agencies, and recruits children and families for community-based programming. Acts as a liaison to community service agencies and provides technical assistance on community-based collaborations.
