We are currently seeking resumes for Preventative Maintenance - Vibration Tech (1-openings) at our Wallula, WA facility.
We are looking for candidates who have a background as a Millwright, Electrician, or Instrumentation Tech.
Description of role:
The Vibration Tech position is a mechanical craft position within our maintenance department. The Vibration Tech will typically work a Monday through Friday 8-hour day work schedule.
Pay and Benefits
The hourly rate for the Vibration Tech position is $38.12 - 42.92.
Employees (and their dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance coverage, subject to applicable waiting periods. Employees are automatically enrolled in PCA's 401k retirement plan at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for 40 hours of vacation after one (1) year of service and between 0 and 36 hours of vacation during their first year. Employees also receive nine (9) paid holidays and up to five (5) paid floating holidays per calendar year.
This is a union environment. Employees will receive all of the rights and benefits associated with union membership when they join our mill facility.
Principle Accountabilities:
Collect and analyze vibration, ultrasound and thermographic information on machinery such as fans, blowers, electrical motors, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors
Perform prediction analysis, PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, and recommend appropriate corrective actions by identifying components, equipment, and system deficiencies of heavy industrial machinery
Review, monitor, and provide troubleshooting support to resolve vibration instrumentation issues
Determine vibration point locations and develop data collection routes for new and existing equipment
Conduct hands-on target pointing and installation of vibration systems on rotating equipment
Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance personnel to prioritize maintenance activities to improve equipment performance and to eliminate unplanned downtime due to equipment outages
Wear personal protective equipment as required
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of three years industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, time management and prioritization skills, and a high degree of self-motivation
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tables, charts, formulas
Ability to read and equipment instruction manuals and align equipment to specified tolerances
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment including centrifugal pumps, gearboxes, fans, and agitators
Experience in Lubrication and Precision Maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience in oil/gas, paper/pulp, or bottling industries
2+ years of experience as a vibration analyst
CAT I Vibration Analyst Certification, willing to earn CAT II Vibration Analyst Certification
Certificate in other conditioning monitoring technologies (ultrasound, infrared, MCA)
