Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate and maintain equipment in the Press area including, but not limited to progressive and transfer presses, hand grinders, measuring devices, fixtures, material handling equipment, etc.
- Monitor quality of products visually and by using measuring tools, gauges and fixtures
- Reading and interpreting job instruction sheets and inspection forms
- Record keeping with respect to quality, productivity and downtime
- Completion of daily log entries
- Effectively execute the principles of lean manufacturing
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 1-3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Minimum 1-3 years experience operating a metal stamping press

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.
