High School Diploma or GED required
Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and engaging curriculum
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Assist with daily routines such as mealtime, naptime, and toileting
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior
Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged students in a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with math and literacy education for young children
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation
- Ability to educate and engage children through creative teaching methods
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies for students with special needs is a plus
- Experience in toddler care is preferred
