C5 Children's School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. Responsibilities:
1. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional development.
3. Observe and document children's progress, maintaining individual portfolios to track growth and milestones.
4. Foster strong partnerships with parents and caregivers through regular communication and parent-teacher conferences.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to create an integrated and cohesive curriculum that promotes holistic child development.
6. Provide a variety of learning materials and experiences that stimulate children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
7. Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom, following licensing regulations and best practices.
8. Support children in developing self-regulation and conflict resolution skills.
9. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
10. Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that reflects the values of Reggio Emilia philosophy.
Qualifications:
1. Associates or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
2. CA Childhood Development Teacher Permit
3. Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
4. Knowledge and understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
7. Passion for fostering a love of learning in young children.
8. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
9. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
10. Ability to meet state licensing requirements.
