Job Description
We currently have openings for interns as well as full-time Teachers. We are an arts-based Early Childhood Education school, 6 weeks through school-age. We offer a 12 month program, and a summer program. We are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Openings
Position 1: Lead Teacher, Young Toddler Class (12 months - 24 months)
Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5pm
Earned PTO, Paid training
Sign on bonus after 120 days
Hourly Rate $14-16 (based on education and experience)
Qualifications & Required Credentials Options
(1) In the process of completing, or having completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
(2) In the process of completing, or having completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.
(3) In the process of completing, or having completed an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.
(4) In the process of completing, or having completed an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.
Position 2: Assistant Teacher, Preschool (ages 3-4)
Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm
Earned PTO, Paid training

Hourly Rate $10-13 (based on education and experience)
Qualifications & Required Credentials Options
(1) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
(2) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training described in § 3270.31(c) (relating to age and training).
(3) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.
(4) A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum described in § 3270.31(c).
(5) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 2 years experience with children.
Position 3 : Internships for Clinical Hours, All Ages
Hours are highly flexible, within hours of operation
Interns are able to accumulate clinical hours
All interns are considered for employment upon completion of internship or respective program

Educators employed by the Academy for Visual Arts are kind, thoughtful, organized, creative, and hand selected. All staff participate in trainings and continued education in accordance with the State of Pennsylvania Education Requirements.
