This is a Remote Field Position. The candidate filling this position will service and reside in the Ft Lauderdale/Miami Territory

Responsible for accurate and timely determination of earned premium and measurement of insurance risk exposures by interpreting and applying state specific and manual rules of classification. Maintains a high level of communication with policyholders, agents, bureaus and internal staff on conditions which may affect the coverage and premium of policyholders. Strive to enhance customer relationships by providing audit related services and recommendations. Maintain department standards according to established Service Level Agreements and work in collaboration with Underwriting, Marketing, Claims and Customer Service.
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Performs analysis of insured’s business operation(s) to determine appropriate classifications and exposures.
- Interprets and applies legislative and manual ruling which effect premium basis and policy coverage.
- Performs fiscal audit of insured’s accounting records and related documentation in order to determine proper premium basis.
- Performs audit of claims filed during policy period in order to verify claimant’s employment and wage level at time of injury and proper classification of the claim(s).
- Acts as a liaison between policyholder, agent and the appropriate Zenith Departments and maintains a high level of communication with all.
- Strive to maintain cost effectiveness through prioritization of work, effective scheduling and high quality audits with minimal re-audits and minimal use of fee services.
- Prepares and submits accurate and timely reports, adhering to Zenith Service Level Agreements and conforming to applicable agency and bureau regulations and standards.
- Communicates with agents and insureds verbally and in writing regarding information needed for audits such as: type of operation, classification of employees, and payroll.
- Perform technical peer reviews through Quality Review Program.
- Resolve audit disputes with customers verbally or in written form.
- Audit, review or process different types of audits such as voluntary audits, cancellations, and physical audits.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Experience Qualifications
- 2+ Years premium audit experience required
- Willingness to accept assignments requiring overnight travel and to work outside of assigned territory on an “as needed” basis.
- Time Management and Organizational skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Accounting or financial background preferred.
- Good driving record – Field staff only
The expected salary range for this position is $56,929.17 to $71,161.47. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
