About This Role:
The Preclinical business unit at Veranex is hiring a Study Manager in Atlanta! The ideal candidate will have responsibility for the coordination of daily activities of the studies assigned, as well as ensuring that the required materials/supplies/resources and information are available when needed.
What You Will Do:
- Assists the responsible Study Director(s) in ensuring the requirements/tasks of the respective protocols and the execution of the actions/milestones called out in the corresponding project plan are achieved.
- Responsible for reading, writing, understanding and following study proposals, protocols, policies, procedures, and reports.
- Responsible for conducting and managing their own Non-GLP projects and preclinical studies.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical information/instructions in written, diagram & mathematical form, deal with many variables and translate them into a good project plan.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to respond constructively & timely to common problems, inquiries or complaints from
- Coordinate with other departments within the preclinical laboratory, veterinary operations, finance, and facilities.
- Responsible for coordinating procedure on specific assigned studies, managing project from beginning to end.
- Solid command of project planning: study design, plan development, execution, follow-up,
Qualifications:Required skills:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Science or Engineering related field) plus minimum of 4 years of research work as a scientist or engineer or related experience
- Minimum of 2 years as a study or project manager involving in preclinical or clinical research or similar experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to constructively interact with all levels of an organization
- Must be well organized and is able to keep detailed records
- Good understanding of scientific principles, the use of protocols and scientific/test methods, and
Preferred:
- PhD or MS preferred in Science or Engineering field
- Good Laboratory Practices Experience
