Job Summary
Junevity is seeking a Preclinical Scientist to join our research and development team reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer. This position is responsible for conducting and overseeing pre-clinical research experiments, data collection and analysis, and other laboratory activities. The successful candidate has experience working with a variety of pre-clinical models and is able to communicate effectively with others.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct preclinical experiments, analyze data, and interpret results
- Monitor and document animal behavior, health, and welfare
- Implement and manage IACUC protocols for experiments and research
- Evaluate different pre-clinical disease state models
- Record data and maintain a laboratory notebook
- Analyze data to identify trends and draw conclusions
- Develop and maintain research databases
- Prepare research reports and presentations
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with preclinical animal models
- Knowledge of laboratory animal behavior, nutrition, and welfare
- Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and practices
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel locally between laboratory / office and vivarium
- Proficient in standard software for data collection and analysis, report writing, and presentation preparation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
