We are a home based Large Family Early Childhood Education business in the heart of Baltimore County with a capacity of 12 children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old by the Maryland State Department of Education office of childcare.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team at Mustard Seed Early Learning Academy. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a key role in providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity.
- Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress and development and communicate regularly with parents about their child's growth and achievements.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, always ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA (preferred).
- State teaching certification or licensure in Early Childhood Education.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
