Main Tasks & Requirements
Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Pre-Sales Intern for our Novi, MI or Irvine, CA location. Other office locations available if needed.

Description:
The Pre-Sales Intern will expand their knowledge of various software, and complete projects regarding machine learning or workflow development for aircraft subsystems.
Responsibilities:

• Learn Adams, Nastran, or Odyssee software through a combination of instructor-led training and self-study
• Complete a project on one of the following topics:

• Machine learning applied to structural analysis (ex: fastener margins, bracket design/placement on aircraft structures)
• Adams workflow development for aircraft subsystems (ex: landing gear deployment/retraction, hard landing effects on structure)

• Present results during periodic reviews and fully document all work prior to end of internship using templates provided

Qualifications:

• BS or MS student in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• If an undergraduate, the student must have completed at least 2 years of an accredited engineering curriculum
• Background in CAE is preferred
• Experience with Python scripting is a plus
• Self-starter; not afraid to learn from mistakes and rapidly correct course
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week during the summer break.
