Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care by assisting with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Take patient histories and vital signs
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare provider
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and billing
- Assist with patient service activities including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in and out
- Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience working in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in medication administration and basic medical procedures
