The Northern Trust Company seeks a Practice Lead, FOA to define the strategic direction for global risk and quantitative analytics services and software products. Drive the initiation of new services and products to commercialize on changes in the investment analytics landscape. Utilize data science tools to design and test new data models and visualizations. Support client front office professionals and deliver against analytical needs. Define quantitative research initiatives and data science projects that enable fact-based and data-driven investment. Make staffing decisions, manage expenses, and lead the salary review process for the division.
Position requires a Master’s degree in Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Financial Engineering or a related field, and 5 years of experience with statistical and econometric modeling.
Experience must include a minimum of:
- 5 years of experience developing pricing, risk management, and performance models for derivative products and multi-asset portfolio;
- 5 years of experience running model and business back testing for products, strategies, and portfolios;
- 5 years of experience with project management;
- 5 years of experience with Java, MATLAB, Python, or comparable languages. Part time telecommuting may be permitted.
