Carlton Fields is seeking a Practice Coordinator - FHA for its Washington, D.C. office.
This position is responsible for Firm-wide coordination of the FHA practice area.
Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the workflow of the FHA practice group
• Review, modify and improve FHA loan closing processes
• Maintain robust deal calendar to track and progress transactions from assignment to post-closing deliveries
• Examine loan documentation for compliance with HUD program requirements and transaction specific information
• Draft settlement statements for multifamily housing closings
• Complete post-closing duties, including finalizing, distributing, and archiving closing transcripts
• Coordinate with escrow/title companies and surveyors throughout the transaction life cycle to ensure receipt of HUD-compliant deliverables and successful recording/filing of loan documents and closing disbursements
• Ensure client service and satisfaction are attained in all relevant areas of the position
• Interface with all deal parties, including clients, HUD, borrowers' counsel, title companies, and surveyors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience with federal real estate agencies, preferably in a legal environment
• Must be able to multitask and handle high stress situations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic
