Job Title: Power Electronics HW engineer
Roles and Responsibilities:
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for developing x1 and y2 for electric and hybrid vehicle applications. As part of a team, he/she will be involved in full cycle of development and delivery of the product, including design, modeling, simulation, and experimental testing and validation of the product.
The candidate will be responsible for developing, integration, and validation of charging systems for electric and hybrid vehicle applications
Job Description:
Development of AC-DC and DC-DC charging system for electric/hybrid vehicle application.
Modeling and analysis of the circuits and controls of chargers
Testing and debugging of high-power medium-voltage Power Electronics chargers
Integration and validation of the charger and battery and battery emulator
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Power Electronics or electrical engineering, with more than 4 years of industry experience with power converter development as either NPD or R&D engineer
Minimum 3 years of experience in design, testing, and debugging of DC-DC or 3ph AC-DC converters with voltage range 400 - 900 V and power level >1 kW
Experience in design and selection of power semiconductor parts, cooling mechanism, passive components, protection circuits, and sensing circuits.
Experience with battery charger development cycle
Understanding of PCB layout design for medium voltage range
Familiarity with typical safety/EMI/environmental standards for power converter systems
Familiarity with EMC requirements and filter design
Understanding of hardware-mechanical interface as well as hardware-software interface
Understanding of fundamental analytical equations and inductor and transformer design
Understanding of converter controls specification and design
Communication and coordination with multiple global vendors and teams
English communication skill, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
