Cimarron is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to support the Axiom Space Commercial Space Station program in Houston, TX. This is an onsite position. Key Duties: Design, develop, and test Power Electronics for the Axiom Space Station.
Work with cross-functional teams and lead the development of software requirements for power system features, diagnostics, algorithms, etc Printed circuit board design and system-level power module design. Support design reviews of power systems as well as other spacecraft systems.Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
10 or more years of experience in power system electronics design. Experience designing, developing, testing, and verifying human spaceflight electrical power systems. Experience designing DC/DC converters for hundreds of volts and high tens to hundreds of amps.
Experience with high-voltage and high-current switches: thyristors, MOSFETs , IGBTs. Experience with solar arrays, including the design of maximum power point tracking. Understanding of PCB layout, manufacturing, EEE parts selection, and environmental qualifications.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited course of study.
