Windsor Metal Finishing, a division of BEST Engineered Surface Technologies, was founded in 1992 and is located in central Florida, just south of Orlando. The company was developed to apply liquid high-performance (PVDF) fluoropolymer Kynar coatings. This coating was designed specifically for the architectural industry, with a focus on coastal areas that experience harsh environmental conditions. Over the years, WMF has continuously improved its processes to provide the highest quality and service to our customers.

We are privileged and honored to be involved with finishing prestigious projects from Alaska to the tropical climate of Hawaii and the desert kingdoms of Saudi Arabia. We were also honored to coat the perforated aluminum curtain wall panels housing the LED system covering the lower 22 stories of the New World Trade Center Freedom Tower. Recently we have positioned ourselves to continue to excel in architectural coatings (liquid and powder), while also investing to expand our capabilities (PTFE, CARC, Cerakote, and others).

We are looking for a Spray Technician. This new member of our team and family will be part of a team that will ensure all of our customer’s parts are provided a superior product by ensuring parts are coated in a quality and consistent manner.

*Must be willing to wear proper PPE and respirator while coating moving parts (Provided)

Monday-Friday 6 a.m. start, $15-18/hr. depending on industry and coating experience

Responsibilities:

• Reading and implementing the processing requirements as defined on the product Technical Data Sheet provided by the manufacturer
• Repeatedly achieving and staying with the thickness tolerances of the parts
• Signing off on application processes for customers
• Cleaning, setting, and utilizing HVLP cup or recirculating spray systems and operating in a safe high-quality environment
• Diluting coatings to specifications utilizing VOC solvent-based diluents
• Handling all other reasonably required duties in the spray area
• Communicating quality and coating area requirements to other sprayers as needed
• Protecting customers' parts and ensuring that quality requirements are met
• Properly utilizing spray guns/equipment
• All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience utilizing spraying tools and equipment preferably in a similar environment
• The ability to wear a respirator and other protective equipment for up to 10 hours
• The ability to read Technical Data Sheets and implement them exactly as instructed
• The ability to work in a confined space at warm temperatures
• Attention to detail as well as warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment
• The ability to work with a diverse culture to help ways to improve processes, quality, and safety
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to walk, stand or stoop for an entire shift on a concrete floor
• Ability to work in exposed sunlight and high ambient temperatures related to Florida
