DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare surfaces, by cleaning, sanding, and masking.
- Assist with body prep, body filling and sanding.
- Apply a variety of finishes including primers, urethanes, epoxies, and electrostatic powder.
- Operate and maintain all coating equipment including guns, controllers, hoppers, ovens, pressure pots,spray booths and ventilation systems.
- Ability to perform manual Powder Coating operations independently
- Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations.
- Epoxy coat the interior of water tanks.
- Operate a forklift to move tanks to and from paint shop.
- Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
- Properly mix primer, paint, and epoxy.
-2+ years experience of Powder Coating.
- 2+ years experience with paint guns, pressure pots, and spray booths.
- 1+ years experience painting steel.
- 1+ years experience of preparing surfaces for paint.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces, wear a full face respirator and protective suits.
- Previous experience painting commercial equipment is a plus.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check is required.
- Salary is based on experience.
