JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Post-Closing Specialist maintains the document imaging system for the loan department. They ensure that the document imaging system is accessible to internal and external loan review. They work with lenders, agents, and BDOs to satisfy outstanding exceptions on the exception report.
Essential Functions

- Ensure that adequate insurance coverage is in place on the correct structures or items for the loan.
- Obtain updated financial statements and tax returns from customers.
- Monitor real estate loans to ensure that real estate taxes have been paid.
- Verify vehicle titles are properly titled.
- File complete shadow files.
- File and maintain UCC-1 filings.
- Scan loan files and additional items obtained in the document imaging system.
- Place newly scanned loans on the Trak system, ensuring all items on the Trak checklist are satisfied.
- Mail paid notes to customers.
- Prepare releases for the collateral securing the loan.
- Remove paid loans from Trak.
- Cancel payment assignments.
- Effectively represent the bank and maintain customer relationships through calls and visits.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the company’s policies, procedures and processes.
- Adhere to all Legence Bank and AFMFS Hoopla standards, serving as an example to other team members, as well as to our customers.
- Represent and promote the Company within the community.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to Quickly Learn New Software
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Education and Experience
- 1 Year of Current Banking Experience
