The Portfolio Specialist for Thematic Equities is responsible for promoting and articulating the firm's strategies to both internal and external audiences, including institutional clients, financial advisors, and the broader investment community.
Essential Duties
- Thought Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on equity ETFs, providing insights and perspectives to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Client Engagement: Represent the firm in meetings with clients and prospects to discuss and promote the thematic equity and equity ETF product suite, its positioning, and performance.
- Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams, providing them with the necessary tools, presentations, and support to promote this range effectively.
- Content Creation: Author whitepapers, articles, and other thought leadership materials that highlight the firm's views, research, and strategies related to equity ETFs. Partner with Product Marketing and Marketing on these efforts.
- Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis to keep abreast of industry trends, ensuring that the firm's thematic equity offerings remain competitive.
- Product Development: Collaborate with the product management and development teams, providing insights on market demand, gaps, and trends that can influence new product launches or enhancements to existing products.
- Educational Initiatives: Develop and lead training sessions and webinars for both internal teams and external clients, promoting the understanding and adoption of the firm's equity ETF strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with portfolio managers, analysts, and other key stakeholders to ensure a deep understanding of the equity strategies and to gather insights for external communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MFin) or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CIMA) are preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in the asset management industry or closely adjacent businesses.
- Demonstrated competency in technical sales and writing. Demonstrated knowledge of markets. Prior experience with or aptitude to learn ETF market structure, trading strategies, and competitive landscape.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into comprehensible insights.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Estimated Compensation:
Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range of 120k-175k base. This is an anticipated range only.
Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
