Portfolio Manager - Us High Yield

Who You’ll Work With:

You will be responsible for managing AB’s USHY platform, working closely with research, trading, and other investment teams. You will also work closely with our HY clients, ensuring their mandates are performing as expected and providing differentiated market insights. You will also need to establish strong relationships with the AB Client Group, and be a key driver of AUM growth, platform strategy and messaging, with the potential of new product offerings.

What You’ll Do:

You will be tasked with delivering strong investment returns for investors, growing the HY Platform, and engaging with existing and perspective clients. To deliver returns, you will be expected to lead credit committees, improve portfolio construction techniques, and engage on thematic portfolio positioning discussions. This includes actively working with our quantitative research team on how to utilize these methods more effectively in portfolios and integrating these tools with our fundamental insights. You will also play a key role in setting the strategy for multi-sector portfolios regarding credit allocations. Finally, you will be expected to contribute meaningfully to AB Leveraged Finance’s credit investment culture and reputation. As a leader of the credit business, the individual is expected to be a regular contributor at key industry conferences and client events, as well as provide thought leadership pieces for our credit clients.

What We’re Looking For:

You will have a proven track record in Leveraged Finance and be able to lead portfolio strategy and execution for the platform. As part of the AB Fixed Income process, you will be proficient in integrating quantitative methods into portfolio management and you will be an expert on credit markets and fundamentals. A strong mutual fit of investment philosophy, process and approach is critical.

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:

Base Salary Range: $200,000 to $250,000

Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards.
