Join the Mizuho team as Portfolio and Governance Lead!
Reporting Line:
The Portfolio and Governance lead will report to the Head of Americas Program Management. The mandate is to lead the Portfolio and Governance team in setting the standards and governance practices for all active firmwide projects as well as overseeing and effectively challenging the health of all firm-wide active projects within the portfolio.
Responsibility:
Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for aggregating the status of Americas Program Management portfolio on a weekly basis and distributing the pack to senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Effectively challenging the Program Manager's key artifacts for adherence to the Program Governance standards
  • Collecting and producing Firm-wide metrics on the entire portfolio of active projects in the firm and communicating key updates to the Executive Management Change Committee
  • Oversight of the in-take process for newly put-forth projects to be prioritized and assessed for resourcing demand allocation
  • Evaluating Portfolio and Governance standards and procedural documents for improvements and annual updates
  • Understanding portfolio cross-functional impact and highlighting dependencies, risks, and issues that may arise
  • Providing appropriate information share and updates with senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Oversight of resources including those provided by 3rd party providers
  • Management of the career growth of Mizuho employees who are under direct supervision

Requirements:
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills including experience at performing this across multiple functions, committees and areas
  • Significant experience and track record of portfolio-level reporting. This includes how to structure major initiatives, project planning, budgeting and resource allocation
  • Deep understanding of cross-functional processes as well as the technologies and data which enable these
  • Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Proven experience of team leadership, career development of others and developing individuals in the program and change management space
  • Superior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff
  • Tolerance and understanding in multi cultures.

The expected base salary ranges from $190k-$250k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
