Job description

The Federal Tax Lead position will primarily be responsible for federal corporate tax with emphasis in international tax. You will be responsible for reviewing US domestic and international tax compliance and provision. You will also be responsible for research and analysis on various US and international tax related issues.
You are

  • An experienced tax professional in the Federal Tax department with understanding of corporate tax and US international Tax Accounting and compliance.

You have
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Tax Accounting and compliance with an understanding of life insurance is a plus.
  • Understanding and experience with US international tax
  • Advance excel, analytical skills, Alteryx is a plus.
  • Experience working with Oracle GL and Oracle TRCS (Tax Reporting Cloud Service) is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

You will
  • Review quarterly/annual tax provision for financial reporting in accordance with the Statutory and ASC 740 requirements
  • Review US insurance and non-insurance income tax returns.
  • Review US international income tax return forms.
  • Research and interpret current and emerging international tax issues such as OECD Pillar 2
  • Provide assistance on IRS and external financial statement audits.
  • Assist with special projects on a as needed basis for process improvements and transactions analysis

  • Report to the Head of Federal Tax

Location
Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days WFH. Preferred location - Hudson Yards, New York City

Salary Range
$99,190.00 - $162,955.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
