Popcorn Cart & Birthday Party Attendant

As a Popcorn Cart & Birthday Party Attendant, you would assist in ensuring guest experiences are enjoyable and memorable.

Status: Non-Exempt; Part Time

General Responsibilities

· Run the Popcorn Cart, including making popcorn, stocking the cart with snacks and beverages, cleaning the cart, and maintaining an accurate cash register.

· Assist with set-up and clean-up of Birthday Party areas.

· Welcome Birthday Party guests and introduce the Air Zoo.

· Maintain party schedule, guiding guests from one activity to the next.

· Serving pizza and cupcakes to party guests.

· Ensure guests follow Air Zoo safety guidelines.

· Address any concerns or issues that arise during birthday parties.

· Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to ensure a positive experience.

· Invest in the success of the Air Zoo by being fearlessly innovative and pitching new creative ideas and concepts.

· Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

· Prior experience working with children in a group setting is preferred, but not required.

· Flexibility to work primarily on Saturdays is required.

· Attention to detail.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality.

· Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.

· Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.

· Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Passion for learning about the Air Zoo and telling our story to a wide audience.

SCHEDULE: Part time- days, primarily weekends about 8-10 hours per week. 100% of the work time for this position is in-office at the Air Zoo in Portage, Michigan.

HEALTH REQUIREMENT & Pre-Employment SCREENINGS: The Air Zoo follows CDC and Kalamazoo Health Department’s guidelines for preventing the spread of respiratory viruses and may require masks to be worn by employees in certain settings to improve safety. Pre-employment drug screening and state/federal background checks are required for all Air Zoo employees.

COMPENSATION: $10-11 commensurate with education and experience.
