Purpose for the Position: The Pool Café Attendant is a member of the Front Office team and is responsible for greeting every guest/customer with a smile and positive attitude, taking orders, preparing and delivering items, following accurate cash handling and room charge procedures, organizing and maintaining a clean service area, cleaning tables and area, and following all health laws. Additional responsibilities include maintaining an inventory of needed supplies, ensuring all menus are clean before shift, and being familiar with hotel facilities including their location and hours.
The Pool Café Attendant Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain standards of Food and Beverage quality and guest service quality.
- Greet guests.
- Ensure prompt requests for food and drink orders.
- Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
- Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests.
- Clear tables.
- Complete all side work as assigned.
- Maintain a clean work and storage area.
- Read and understand MSDS.
- Complete projects as determined by the Front Office Manager.
- Process all orders and collect payment from customers.
- Stock pool café before, during, and after shift.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of Food and Beverage storage areas, counting the bank at end of shifts, and following property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.

Physical Demands: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. Stands, sits, or walks for an extended time period. Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.
Environmental Conditions: Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered "inside" if the worker spends approximately 75% or more of the time inside.
Math Skills: Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
Language Skills: Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to Read instructions, rules, and write sentence, speak clearly.
