Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 6:00pm - 6:30am
Shift: 12-hour shifts, Nights

The role you'll contribute:
Responsible for all aspects of care as outlined in the Sleep Disorder Center policy/procedure manual. Clinical practice activities include but are not limited to the performance of diagnostic polysomnographic testing and assessment based therapeutic interventions. The analysis and scoring of polysomnographic records is an expectation when registered and competency is signed off by the Lead Polysomnographer and Medical Director.

Performs polysomnography procedures according to physician orders, department policy/procedure, and patient care plan.
Demonstrates ability to adapt EEG ,ECG, EMG ,Legs, Snore Mic and Thermistor equipment to patient and obtain quality data.
Assessment and intervention reflect consideration of family/work roles and obligations to our adult patients.
Explain modification of teaching strategies to accommodate decreased vision, hearing or mental status to our geriatric patients.
Explain considerations necessary for the care of our bariatric patients.
Explain considerations necessary for care of the COPD patient suspected of chronic hybercarbia.
Understand the medical center's process when a non-English speaking patient comes in to have a sleep study.
Follows the "Standard of Behavior guidelines according to hospital policy.
Practices A.I.D.E.T (Acknowledge, Introduced, Duration, Explain, and Thank) with all patients, family members, physicians, co-workers and all disciplines to ensure quality care.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Up to 1 year of experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School
Bachelor's Degree
1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Credentialed or certified with one or more of the following obtained within six months of hire date: American Academy of Sleep Medicine -Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologists- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
