POSITION SUMMARY:
The Policy and Practice Education Program Manager manages the delivery of policy and PRACTICE EDUCATIONal content to AAN members. Provides strategic direction for health policy educational initiatives and evaluates programs to ensure a meaningful learning experience.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Facilitate Programs
- Manage the logistics of distance learning programs, including correspondence and preparation with faculty, maintenance of the learning management system (LMS), tracking registrants, developing CME application, and overseeing marketing efforts
- Facilitate Annual Meeting team within the division (working with education staff on health policy logistics, design, including creating presentations, and events)
- Coordinate Health Policy involvement in regional conferences – identifying faculty/courses and participating in staff teams
- Manage the webinar and health policy exhibits budgets
Education Strategy
- Provides insight into strategic direction for health policy education initiatives, including exploring new programming venues and delivery methods
- Gather analytics and metrics around program performance, using the results to shape future programming
Coordination
- Serve as Health Policy liaison with the Center for Education and Science staff, serving as a single point of contact for all educational programming issues

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Health Policy, Communications, Education, Instructional Design, or similar field is required
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with adult learning theory and instructional design methods is required
- Using web conferencing systems and learning management systems is preferred
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
- Demonstrated advanced oral and written communication skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required
- Excellent time management skills, ability to deliver when facing multiple projects with tight deadlines is required
- Highly organized with attention to detail is required
- Superior customer service skills are required
- Understanding of instructional design is preferred
- Experience with online learning management systems (LMS) preferred
ADDITIONAL POSITION INFORMATION:
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required – approximately 5%
Location: Minneapolis, MN and is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week)
Schedule: Some evenings and weekends required
Physical Requirements: Standard office setting, with ability to sit for long periods of time, occasional use of stairs; regular use of computer and office equipment, lifting up to 10 lbs.
