The East Windsor Police Department is looking for articulate, driven individuals to join our dispatching team. New dispatchers will undergo an array of training in leading communication technologies and will serve as the backbone of the department’s call for service coordination. This entry level position includes an industry competitive salary (starting $54,553-$72,410), fantastic starting benefits including over 20 days of combination paid time off and holidays and a defined contribution retirement plan.
Applicants must have the ability to be trained in all aspects of radio communications and dispatching responsibilities along with the ability to react quickly and calmly to emergency situations as may be presented while dispatching. Dispatcher candidates must be nineteen years of age by completion of probationary period, graduate from a standard high school or recognized equivalency and must have a working knowledge of personal computers.
This position may require successful completion of a written, oral and medical examination.
