Podcast Producer

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Podcast Producer & Editor to join our team for a dual host show with occasional guest appearances. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of audio and visual production, along with mastery of equipment and software necessary for creating high-quality podcast content. This role involves recording, editing, and enhancing the overall production value of the show, as well as managing social media accounts and creating engaging clips for promotional purposes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Responsibilities:

Audio and Visual Production:

• Oversee the entire podcast production process, ensuring high-quality audio and visual content.
• Set up and operate recording equipment, ensuring optimal sound quality during recordings.
• Edit and enhance raw audio and visual files to create a polished and professional final product.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in podcast production technology.

Clip Creation for Social Media:

• Cut and edit engaging clips from podcast episodes suitable for sharing on various social media platforms.
• Develop a strategy for maximizing the impact of clips in promoting the podcast and attracting a wider audience.
• Collaborate with hosts and other team members to identify key moments for promotion.

Social Media Management:

• Maintain and update social media accounts for the podcast, including but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Develop and execute a social media content calendar to ensure consistent and engaging posts.
• Monitor and respond to audience interactions, comments, and feedback.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Coordinate with hosts, guests, and other team members to schedule recordings and plan content.
• Provide guidance to hosts on best practices for optimizing their on-air performance.
• Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to align podcast content with overall brand strategies.

Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrate mastery of recording and editing software, hardware, and other relevant equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during recording sessions and post-production to ensure smooth operations.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Proven experience as a Podcast Producer & Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
• In-depth knowledge of audio and visual editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro).
• Excellent understanding of podcasting trends, platforms, and best practices.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple aspects of production simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and experience in managing accounts for promotional purposes.

Flexible Hybrid Role:

• This position offers a flexible hybrid work model, with the requirement for in-person attendance during recording sessions and meetings.
• Understand that some podcast recordings may be scheduled outside of standard business hours, contingent upon the availability of guests and hosts.
• Salary will be commensurate with experience, and we are open to discussing various employment arrangements, including part-time, freelance, or full-time.

Compensation: $75,000 to $100,000 annually.
