Job description

Job Summary:

 

Supports the organization and department in senior leadership assigned project efforts. Initiates, prepares, coordinates, and completes administrative tasks associated with the Director/Project Management’s responsibility areas. Facilitates meetings. Coordinates timely, accurate communication to reporting department resources. Performs administrative tasks and project duties (e.g., (but not limited to) scheduling, e-time/payroll tracking, overseeing the budget, coordinating/managing projects, maintaining calendars, and entering/creating electronic format correspondence and reports). Manages small projects, under a senior PM (department 8236) team member’s direct supervision, characterized by low risk, minimal sub project efforts, a well-defined scope, limited complexity (i.e., involving only one (1) to five (5) project team members from within the division), and a zero-dollar ($0) to fifty thousand-dollar ($50,000) project budget. Coordinates assigned activities effectively via familiarity with departmental and organizational processes. Accountable for all aspects of project activity over the entire life cycle (i.e., planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing). Complies with professional confidentiality standards.

Supervises:

  • None. Oversees Project Management (PM) Intern (not a Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) employee) but does not supervise TMH employees directly

Required Education:

Associate degree (or equivalent) in project management, management, business administration, public administration, or systems management required; bachelor’s degree in project management, management, business administration, public administration, or systems management preferred. Human Resources (HR) may substitute experience on a 1:1 basis for the required education. Experience credited in lieu of education will not be applied toward minimum experience requirements.

 

Required Experience:

  • None required; two (2) years of project experience preferred
    • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products
    • Experience working in a team environment
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Good communication skills (oral, written, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills)
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    • Ability to delegate and assign tasks to appropriate individuals

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • None required; Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) preferred
