Position Description
POSTION OVERVIEW
Contribute to developing of complex cost estimating work processes, tools, procedures, and development. Prepare and develop contingency and escalation evaluation for estimates; assist in the developing of value engineering suggestions; coherently explain the basis of estimate (BOE) to PMO team and management. Responsible for the practical architecture of an estimating system and developing scoping requirements for the overall cost estimate by discipline or other specialty. The management and oversight of planning and implementation of estimating efforts.
JOB DUTIES
Perform conceptual estimating on civil, architectural, and structural portions of projects•Prepare qualifications and assumptions for the estimate.
Review and present estimates to senior management.
Prepare cost comparisons and reconciliations with previous estimates.
Prepare value engineering and risk analysis.
Ensure the estimating process runs smoothly, promptly, and efficiently
Communicate estimate/bid information to internal project managers regarding methods, techniques, and sequences.
Complete Budgeting and Scheduling for projects and track same. Monitor progress, requisition change orders, and identify any potential risks.

Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree (Architectural, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields)
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years experience in relevant/construction estimation experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES (KSAs)
Detail-oriented and hard-working.
Work effectively with all colleagues and constituents.
Sense of urgency and ‘can do’ attitude.
Take ownership of projects/clients, managing both up and down.
Ability to effectively prioritize daily tasks and be able to work on multiple tasks within timeline constraints as required
A valid Texas driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to drive a county vehicle.
