Position Title Receptionist

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
General Purpose
This position is limited to clerical duties only and is located and limited to the Reception/Administrative area. The main purpose of this position is to attend to and greet visitors and answer telephone.
***This position has no clinical involvement/duties of any kind***
Essential Duties
Greet visitors with a friendly and positive demeanor
Monitor visitor access
Maintain visitor sign-in log
Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
Take and relay messages
Direct people to the appropriate destination
Deal with queries from the public and customers
Receive and sort mail
Provide general administrative and clerical support – limited to the receptionist area
Schedule appointments and maintain meeting room bookings
Tidy and maintain the reception area.
Professional personal presentation
Supervisory Requirements
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualification
Education and/or Experience High School Diploma required
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
Knowledge of basic computer skills and multi-line phone system
Language Skills Ability to read and write
Ability to professionally respond to questions from visitors
Mathematical Skills Ability to apply basic math skills
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and be resourceful
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite products is essential, especially Outlook and Excel

The employee must occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. Prolonged use of a desk top computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, read, write, type or hear. Frequent use of all office related equipment to include; copier/scanner/fax, telephone, and calculator.
