About Role:
Critchfield Mechanical, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager with advanced knowledge in plumbing to join the team. You will be responsible to manage design build, plan spec and design assist project from bid to completion. The ideal candidate will have plumbing specific expertise and desire to work in a dynamic environment. This position is located in our headquarters in San Jose, CA with travel to SF Bay Area jobsites.
Responsibilities
· Manage design/build, plan/spec, and design assist project from bid to completion
· Perform plumbing system load calculations to determine pipe sizes and determine equipment selections
· Layout and coordinate plumbing systems and equipment
· Effectively manage time to meet project deliverables and schedules
· Work closely with engineers, project architects, general contractors, owners, consultants, and other MEP team members from project start to completion
· Provide supervision and technical support to Jr level engineers
· Interact and communicate with field personnel to resolve field issues and ensure the installation meets the project schedule/cost estimates
· Compile project submittals from appropriate vendors, ensuring correct pricing, delivery dates, and other specifications are met including buyout and procurement of equipment and finishes
· Oversee all project financials
· Develop client base and build strong relationships for future sales leads
· Negotiate and manage subcontractors
· Manage the project closeout process
Education/Experience
· 3-5 years of experience in commercial plumbing construction (new construction or tenant improvement) specifically with project management, estimating, and design
· Bachelors Degree in related field - Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred
· EIT or PE license preferred but not required
· Experience with LEED or LEED accreditation
· REVIT & BIM experience a plus
· Advanced knowledge of engineering fundamentals, local building and mechanical codes and Title 24
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
