Pay Rate: Starts $28.00 - $32.00. Skills, knowledge and experience could push higher.
1st shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday (with flexibility to support some 2nd shifts and weekends)
What you'll be doing: diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain & repair conveyors and material handling systems within a brand-new, industry-leading, state of the art facility.
The ideal candidate must be proficient in the following areas:
- Diagnosis and troubleshoot different conveyors types (roller, belted, etc.) and material handling equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to PM schedule and established procedures.
- Installing, lacing, splicing, and cutting conveyor belts.
- Performing alignments & tracking of belts.
- Mechanical, Electric, Pneumatic and software integration problem solving.
- Maintaining an accurate assigned parts inventory
- Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
- Train other employees as needed.
In addition, a preferred candidate will have experience with the following:
- Electrical - AC and DC equipment: transformers, lighting contactors, coils, photo eyes, zone controllers, power/control panels, heaters, frequency drives, PLC's
- Mechanical - motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, O-rings, V-belts
- Pneumatic - diverters, lubricators, coils, regulators, air dryers, compressors & pucks, pressure vessels, air compressors, separators, diaphragm switches
- Hydraulic - hoses, fittings, cylinders, pumps, pressure regulators, gauges
- Preventative - powered and gravity conveyor, filters, coils, chains, bearings, dock levelers and doors, lighting, exhaust fans, air compressor system, compactors, balers
- Operate. Forklift, scissor lift and tools as needed to complete duties
What we want from you:
- Electrical. Systems knowledge; fix problems including wiring up to 480 volts
- Controls. PLC knowledge and ability to repair equipment, e.g., electrical controls, circuits and control panels, PC support, board-swapping
- HVAC. Troubleshoot electrical issue to changing filters (knowing how to check pressures a plus)
- Self-Motivated. Do standard work independently, recognize/solve issues
- Quality. Do it right the first time with minimal rework
- Safety. Safety-minded perspective, LOTO knowledge, fall protection, team lifting
- Professionalism. Provide courteous, prompt service with minimal disruption to end users
