SUMMARY:
Responsible for acquiring, retaining, reactivating, and growing play from high-end guests through personal, professional contact. Also responsible for ensuring that all marketing information is up to date and in accordance with established marketing strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Develops and manages Guest Service Specialists and Executive Casino Hosts in accordance with established policies, budgets, procedures and specifications.
  • Monitors and evaluates host's goal numbers each month.
  • Holds Executive Hosts accountable to monthly and yearly goal numbers.
  • Cultivates a team that delivers effective and efficient guest service
  • Ensures individual and team comping decisions are within department guidelines.
  • Ensures team complies with room reservation processes.
  • Coordinates with Executive Hosts and the Director of Marketing and Player Development at the New Buffalo and South Bend properties regarding rooms and event RSVPs.
  • Ensures South Bend and New Buffalo Player Development teams are scheduled to attend property events and promotional activities.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and terminating employees, as needed.
  • Facilitates the flow of information to the South Bend and New Buffalo Player Development teams and departments by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled marketing meetings in coordination with other departments.
  • Assists in monitoring operating budgets.
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for maintaining accurate and thorough departmental records and reports regarding VIP events and daily manager reports.
  • Creatively resolves problems in Player Development.
  • Decides the final outcome of guest disputes involving complimentaries when an appropriate resolution cannot be reached by a manager or supervisor.
  • Ensures a maximum level of guest services and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
  • Attends marketing meetings as a source of knowledge concerning the participation of Player Development in upcoming promotions.
  • Develops outings and programs to entice and facilitate new VIP level business.
  • Maintains an adequate stock of supplies for the marketing teams.
  • Assists in developing and implementing special property events for Player Development purposes.
  • Interacts with high-end players to ensure their return and endorsement.
  • Attends functions and designated events to provide support to the marketing department & to promote future business.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
Directly supervises the New Buffalo and South Bend Executive Hosts and Casino Guest Specialists.

Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree and four - five years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience managing a staff.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to write effective reports and memos. Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment is typically smoky.
