We are offering $15.50 an hour based on experience.
Full Time (Nights and Weekends)
The Lakeland Ledger has immediate openings for Plate Maker 1. Plates are used to print newspapers and training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Load plates into imager, clean processor (weekly) and use computer to output / print offset printing plate
- Assist in setting up jobs in system and able to trouble-shoot
- Able to work independently and with minimum direction
- Must be computer proficient. Ideally understanding offset printing and impositions. Plates are used to print newspapers and training will be provided. Weekends and nights part of schedule.
- GED/High School diploma.
- Good verbal communication skills required.
- Must be able to repetitively lift plates and chemistry weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be computer proficient.
